Access Specialist

The Access Specialist ensures that people who are Deaf or hard of hearing receive equal access to opportunities and services. They work with Federal and State mandates on equal access including education and employment settings.

They work as a liaison between consumers and service providers on the topic of accessible services. They can help consumers with getting services they need from state and local governments, employers, and other private entities. The Access Specialist works with attitudes that affect the Deaf and hard of hearing community. They also provide training for the consumers on the laws that support and protects them.
